As an airsoft player who’s spent plenty of time behind a sniper rifle, I can say without a doubt that the SRS is a solid choice if you want a modern, high-performing gun. The bullpup design might throw some off at first, but once you pick it up, it all makes sense. It’s shorter, which makes it super maneuverable in tight spots, yet still offers the accuracy you need to take out targets at a distance.

One of the things I really appreciate about the SRS A1 is how customizable it is. Right out of the box, it shoots great, but there’s a ton of potential to upgrade it for even better performance. Upgrade SRS with Rapax spring and weighted piston will make your shots more consistent and increase power, which is a must with long-range shots. Swapping out the stock hop-up chamber for aftermarket one makes adjustments easier and more precise, letting you easy fine-tune your shots to perfection.

I find it as one of the best airsoft sniper rifles out there.

The first time I used it, I felt like I had more control over my shots than with any other spring sniper rifle I’d tried before. The Tac41 delivers good range and accuracy out of the box, and upgrading TAC41 makes it perfect for those long-distance shots where you need to be precise.

It’s built very good, and it’s one of those rifles that gives you confidence when you’re in position. I remember one game where I took out a target from nearly 110m away, and it was one of those moments where everything just clicked. But it´s not compact as srs and that´s why I prefer srs. • Great build quality; it feels solid in your hands.

Novritsch SSG10 – Performance Right Out of the Box

If you don’t want to spend too much time tinkering with upgrades, the Novritsch SSG10 might be your go-to. This thing is ready to rock straight out of the box, not the best airsoft sniper rifle, but very close. When I first tested it, I was immediately impressed with the consistency of shots and the build quality. The SSG10 is designed by Novritsch, a well-known name in the airsoft sniper community, and he really nailed it with this rifle. It will give you most for your money. But it´s not perfect.

It’s perfect if you want something that doesn’t require a lot of modifications to be competitive. You can upgrade SSG10 it if you want, but I see no need to upgrade much except with Rapax spring. My third pick in the list of best airsoft sniper rifles.

What I love:

• No need to upgrade anything right away; it’s solid out of the box.
• Ready to withstand even strongest Rapax springs out of the box.
• Built on a VSR platform with many upgrades already implemented..

Tokyo Marui VSR-10 – The Classic Choice

When I first started as a sniper, I picked up a Tokyo Marui VSR-10, and it didn’t take long for me to see why it’s considered the gold standard. Until Silverback SRS and TAC41 came out, VSR10 was the best airsoft sniper rifle out there. This rifle is accurate right out of the box, which makes it perfect for new snipers looking to get the hang of things without needing too many upgrades right away. I remember hitting targets from long range and feeling like I was actually doing something special with it. Well, I was young sniper then.

The VSR-10’s real strength is in its potential for upgrades. I swapped out the hop-up unit, put weighted piston inside and the performance just skyrocketed. If you’re into customizing and improving your gear, this is the rifle for you. This is my fourth choice for best airsoft sniper rifle.

What I love:

• It’s light, making it easier to maneuver in the field.
• The accuracy is ok for out of the box, and the upgrade options are endless.
• After a few upgrades, you can turn it into a real beauty.

Pro Tip: It will not handle strong springs because of 45 degree treiger. If you’re not sure where to start with upgrades, focus on getting a better hop-up unit first, weighted piston with 9mm spring guide and Rapax spring, if you have money and want to use it for 3+J, 90 degree tiger is a way to go. Trust me, those make a huge difference in your shots.

JG BAR-10 or CYMA 701– Budget-Friendly and Ready for Upgrades

If you’re just starting out or you’re on a budget, the JG BAR-10 or CM701 is a solid choice. They are for sure not the best airsoft sniper rifles out there but they are good enough to start. It’s not as expensive as some of the higher-end rifles, but it’s compatible with Tokyo Marui parts, which means you can upgrade it over time. After adding a few upgrades (like a new spring and piston), it will turn into a replica that could do the job, but it will not be perfect, and for sure it will not be the best airsoft sniper rifle, but it will do the job fair.

It’s definitely a rifle that rewards patience and a bit of tinkering. The performance really improved once I got my upgrades dialed in. Have in mind that it´s almost the same as TM VSR10, but lower quality built.

What I Love:

• Very affordable for those on a budget.
• Great platform for upgrading over time.
• Lightweight and easy to handle.

Pro Tip: The JG BAR-10 and CM701 benefits a lot from internal upgrades. Start with the basics like the spring and piston, then move on to the hop-up and barrel. At the end of the journey it will be more expensive then ssg10, but you don´t need to do all the upgrades if you are tight with a budget.

Final Thoughts

This was my view on best airsoft sniper rifles, but choosing the right and best airsoft sniper rifle really comes down to your playstyle and budget. I personally use Silverback SRS most of the time, because it fits my playstyle, and I find it to be the best airsoft sniper rifle, but it would maybe be different for you, if you don´t like bullpup design.

For me, finding the perfect and best airsoft sniper rifle wasn’t just about the specs, it was about how the rifle fit my style and how much I enjoyed using it. Don´t buy upgrades right away, first do allot of research and reading in facebook groups and forums before you engage in upgrading.

The best airsoft sniper rifle for you is the one which makes you happy in the game, that is the point.

So….I went and done it. I  bought myself an SSG24 by Novritsch. Yes, that’s right, I paid for it out my own money, no freebies, no affiliate schemes, legitimately paid for.

With that said, I’ll be doing some content on the SSG24 platform, entirely honest and unbiased, both good and bad, pretty and ugly.

The rifle was purchased direct from the Novritsch website, shipped from the Eu warehouse and arrived in about a week.

This is the first in a series of SSG24 related content, spread across here, Instagram and my blog. The SSG24 is the re-branded and upgraded rifle by Novritsch, originally it was based on the Modify Mod24 rifle, with a few additional tweaks, both internally and externally.

Internals wise the rifle mainly uses APS parts in terms of the cylinder internals, for the barrel it use a barrel similar to VSR rifles, but with different alignment tabs on the barrel.

Additionally the SSG24 use a bucking similar to VSR/GBB buckings, however the feed lips are much thinner, to work with the thinner SSG24 nozzle.

I do think the SSG24 has some upgrade potential and I’ll be looking into this very soon.
